"I played briefly as a reserve shortstop with the Kansas City Monarchs in 1946 and traveled with the team in 1947. I spent the rest of my baseball career with the semi-pro Omaha Rockets, and the New York Yankees and Chicago Cubs farm teams."

Professional/Personal Accomplishments:
"I worked at Alcoa and General Motors as a foreman for 12 years each. I also owned and managed a janitorial service for eight years. For five years, I coached and umpired little league baseball. That was very rewarding."
