Baseball Career Highlights:
"I have fond memories of several events. The first is when I was selected to play in consecutive East-West All Star games in 1953-1955. Also, during those three years, I barnstormed against Major League All Stars. I had pretty good success against the pitching of Don Newcombe, Sam Jones, Brooks Lawrence, Connie Johnson and Joe Black."

Professional/Personal Accomplishments:
"After retiring from baseball, I worked in the steel industry for 39 years and retired as a machinist. I attended the Tennessee School of Religion, in Memphis, Tennessee, and received Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Religious Education. I also coached little league baseball for several years. Last, but not least, my wife and I have five children. They all attended college and all but one graduated but still is blessed with a good job. My wife has put up with me for 45 years. We're blessed."
