Grady Orange was an infielder who spent most of his playing career in the Negro Leagues with the Kansas City Monarchs and Detroit Stars from 1925-1931. During the off-season, he was a teacher, which sometimes caused him to be late for the start of the baseball season. After baseball, he went to an all-black medical school and finished at the top of his class.
